School year

The start and finish dates of the school year in Germany are generally based on the dates of the relevant federal state, as are the dates of the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. However, Whitsun and Winter holidays are frequently organised individually by the school.

Application deadlines

There are no particular application deadlines for boarding schools in Germany and Switzerland. The schools make their acceptance decision according to varying individual criteria.
